"Books and Coffee it doesn't get any better than this..."

Plain Truth - Jodi Picoult I was disappointed with this one it was all a little to predictable and the ending left me feeling like "what the hell happened here?" All through the story we are told the Amish do not lie or murder and that a baby born out of wed lock would be welcomed in the community so why would Sarah commit such a violent act of killing her grandson? Also why would she be willing to let her daughter take the blame and go to prison? Also how do we know for sure Aaron her husband would never accept the baby? Toward the end it looked like the father and his son were attempting to reconcile or at least that's what I felt was happening when Jacob showed up at the barn during milking time and started to help with the milking. The ending just felt totally wrong.
